Samsung Galaxy Gio battery

I have been trying to find a battery for my cell phone. Thought a good place to try would be Vodaworld Midrand. They could not help me and gave me the contact number for Smart Lab. I contacted them and they too said that they could not help. Suggested that I should try all the malls in Gauteng. Now, I want to know where is the service for this company. Why must I run around trying to find a battery? I have only had this phone for 18 months!!! The phone is useless to me because all that I can receive is 1 sms, then the battery is dead!!!
So, now in 6 months time, AM I GOING TO GET ANOTHER SAMSUNG PHONE, I THINK NOT!!! IT!!!
