Dodgy warranty, no answers at the service dept

My washing machine imploded 1 month out of warranty - just completed dead. I get that this sometimes happens, but the reason I buy a "quality" brand like Samsung is that this doesn't happen. I've already had the machine repaired once during the warranty, and now, only 2 years after I spent a fair amount of money on it, it just stops working. So now I have to fork out more money to call out a repair service and possibly a whole lot more if it's a serious problem. I just bought a Samsung fridge, but now I'm worried that it may also just pack up weeks out of warranty. Is this just bad luck or bad quality goods?
Second half of the complaint has to do with the fact that it is IMPOSSIBLE to get hold of anyone at the Service/Repair department in Cape Town. Occasionally someone answers the phone and transfers me somewhere else where NO ONE ANSWERS! What's the point of having a dedicated Samsung repair shop if you can't actually book a repair. It's completely unacceptable service, and I will definitely be investing my money elsewhere in the future.
