REPAIRS TO SONY BRAVIA

I bought a 46" Sony Bravia LCD TV from Furniture City at Southgate Value Mart in December of 2011 without a problem. I decided on Sony because the salesperson and myself were of the impression that it is a high quality electronics brand and wouldn't give me issues (unlike the HiSense with a 3 year warranty).

Towards the end of November the TV screen stopped working and didn't show any picture at all. I didn't expect this from the premium brand but found consolation in the fact that it was still under warranty (1 year).

On the 17th of December I was told to bring the TV in myself to Furniture City so that they could send the TV in for repairs (staff at Furniture City let me know that if it was a Samsung, the Samsung repair team would personally come and fix it at my house)

Just over 4 weeks later without any feedback, unless I call or go into Furniture City myself, they are still to order the part they need to fix the TV! Correct me if I'm wrong, but if it cant be fixed should it not be replaced?

I'm not sure who between Sony and Furniture City is causing the irrational delay but the service I've received is too bad for words
