Customer is not king

Electronics and household app.

Stopped in to buy a few items and one didn't have a price. I approached the cash desk where the young lady was fiddling with money. She disappeared into the office and came back giggling. Still ignoring me she opened the cash drawer and fiddled some more. Other staff members came and went. Someone was moaning at another worker for insubordination. Meanwhile I'm left waiting for quite a few minutes without a "hello, someone will be with you in a minute" or actually any kind of acknowledgement. I eventually dumped all the items on their counter and left. And now they seem to have a minimum spend of R300 "because we are a wholesaler". So they will turn away a customer who wants to spend R200. Very unprofessional, really customer service and I'd say altogether a second rate operation. Amazing that businesses can afford to turn away customers in these troubled times! Good luck to them as I intend to cancel my registration with them as a dealer.
