IBTC advertise that they sell correspondence courses for CIMA and other accounting qualifications. They source their material from BPP (UK based). BPP run courses in the UK, and DO NOT sell their books as 'pseudo courses' - the books are ONLY available as part of a lectured course.

What IBTC does is pretend they are offering correspondence courses when all they are doing is passing on BPP textbooks - books that CANNOT be studied by correspondence. And then IBTC offer a lousy 'email support' which in practical terms amounts to diddly-squat. (Have you ever tried asking for help, by EMAIL, for accounting questions - it just doesn't work).

The result - almost no-one passes the CIMA exam - in fact very few even write it (they can't work through BPP's books without a taught course). But t his doesn't stop IBTC from pocketing money from customer after customer, all with the false promise of a 'supported course'.

And with education being what it is in SA, customers who often have poor levels of education are being ripped off with the false offer of IBTC.
