Damaged goods sold to custome

On Saturday 6 April 2013, I purchased a KARCHER 4.640 from Builders Warehouse Rivonia for R2299. On Sunday afternoon, I opened the box only to find the wheels inside were damaged, the small parts packet had been opened and there was also water inside the box, indicating it had possibly been previously used and returned. I returned the item on Sunday afteroon hoping to exchange it for another one but was told by the salesman that there were no more in stock. He also said "I don't know where you got this item as it should never have been on the floor" which increased my suspicion that this this item had been previously used and returned. This only served to increase my disappointment and frustration at not being able to get the product I wanted. Nevertheless, I was refunded.
