Boom gate operator issue

I visit Builders Warehouse in Edenvale regularly, and it's one of my favourite places... BUT, on most occasions the boom gate operator at the entrance of the parking lot has a SERIOUS attitude problem.

I'm not sure why, but the operator waits for a car to drive up to the boom, then they REALLY take their time to press the button to raise the boom. The operator seems to be taking perverse pleasure in making cars wait for THEM to let the car in... like it's some kind of power trip.

They're always surly and I've never had a smile or a welcome of any sort from the boom operator. I understand that the job isn't pleasant. They stand around all day in the sun, pressing a button... but they really need to be told that their attitude.
