Managed to break things that weren't broken

Wes came over upon the recommendation of a friend. He gave us a steep quote for a decent amount of work. When I questioned this he said his work was good, unlike most of the other plumbers out there. We paid him and he did the work. Two days later our kitchen taps broke, which he had tampered with. He came back to 'fix'them. Two days later our bathroom taps broke (which he had also 'fixed'). When called again, he failed to come back to fix the job. The taps then broke completely and until this day remain unusable. Wes failed to answer phone calls and to us a number of times about how and why the work wasn't getting finished. I am now in the unfortunate position of having to pay someone ELSE to fix the work this plumber was paid to do.
