I have employed the services of Kroukamp Plumbers in Langebaan to fix a blocked drain in all three of our showers. They opened the drain by plunging the one shower and dislodging a root that caused the blockage. After they left, I checked the inside showers again and it was still blocking up so the problem was obviously not fixed. I recalled them and this time they worked inside the house and in the process they broke the spindle of the one tap. I was told that this needs to be replaced and they fitted two complete taps and opened the drain by removing a hairball from one of the pipes. They left the house in a state and when I received the bill, I was charged for two call-outs regarding the same problem and for two complete taps at an exorbitant price, seeing they are the ones that broke it. I refused to settle the bill until we came to a compromise regarding the costs.
I was met with an attitude from the accounts department and was promptly handed over to a company called Accountability to try and strong-arm me into settling the invoice. I refused and was advised by Accountability that acting on an instruction of Kroukamp Plumbers, I was now listed on ITC for non payment.
