HP ca verify warranty but still wants invoice

I bought a hp all in one printer in october.
It stopped working in january. I lost the receipt from game but when i called hp's support centre they verified that the printer is still under warranty. I wanted to send it in but they refuse to repair under warranty unless i go back to game and get a new receipt. they agree with me that it is under warranty. but still want me to drive around town and try get a new receipt. despite having it on their computer that it is still under warranty and are happy to disclose this to me, there explanation is they need the paperwork to verify. Regardless of the fact that they checked that the warranty is still valid ontheir system. It looks like they are just sending me around to make it as difficult as possible so that they don't have to honour their warranty. I think this is disgusting customer service. We have 6 HP devices in use at the moment and I don't ever want to buy another hp product since HP doesnt care about their customers
