Unilateral change to terms of agreement

Peopleplus unilaterally changed the terms of a Freemium service. Increasing my effective cost from R100 per month to R450 per month. When asked for an explaination they simply said that they had notified me of the change. I have subsequently found several better value for money service providers and cancelled the people plus contract
