Poor service - do not support shop

I bought a VGA 2way splitter from the shop a couple of weeks ago and it did not solve my connectivity. The manager had suggested that I get two VGA to DVI converters. Since I was waiting for our IT department to issue the relevant cable, I postponed the purchase of the converters.
Yesterday, I bought two converter from the Centurion shop at R19 each and forgot them at home. Today, I visited the shop to buy the converters and return the ones I left at home. To my dismay, the JHB shop sold them at R49 each. I left and went back to the office to discover that my monitor has both a VGA and DVI connenction and hence I would need to only buy one instead of two for R98 when I've already bought two at Centurion for R38.
During my visit in the shop, the manager had remarked to a customer that he would like to keep him for a lifetime. Having overhead this, I took the courage to walk 10 floors again because our lifts are not working. The shop assistant showed me two versions of the same VGAtoDVI converters and I indicated that I cannot buy two. I requested to buy two with a plan or returning the incorrect one in the afternoon. The assistant spoke to the manager who refused.
