Laptop damaged when received from Repair Centre

Computers & Services

Sent my laptop from CPT to JHB's repair centre as a 4 buttons didnt work on the keypad. I was asked if there was any liquid spilled on the laptop and Ive been using the device so I knew there wasnt any. No terms &conditions was discussed when logging the call &my laptop is only 4 months old therefore still under warranty. I got a quote a week later stating it costed R1300 to repair as there's liquid damage picked up on the device. I could not afford to pay this&was luckily assisted by Steward Morgan who released it at no cost. This took about 3 and half weeks from collection to shipping it back to me. I received the device this morning&guess what? The keypad is completely broken, I even had to push down the keypad coz it wasnt fitted properly&I cannot log on to Windows as it brings up an error message: "Media test failure, check cable. No bootable device- Insert boot disk & press any key" continously. Now I need to take it to a repair place in CPT&pay for all this to be fixed whereas I couldve just used it with the onscreen keyboard but now I cannot use it all!! What horrible service from your centre. Seems like when I rejected the quote they broke and disabled my laptop deliberately
