Disappointing service

I purchased a lexmark printer in 2010 service request 1-12697683492
The printer has been working fine until this little rubber came off from one of the wheels, now it
doesn't feed the paper which means I cant copy or print at all. I have asked for advise if this a common issue with this printer. The part cant be replaced and they cant find any proof that I registered on line for an extended warranty. I have forward the mails which i have received after registration however these were not the proof needed. Just very disappointing that one little rubber can not be replaced. The printer was used at home and has not lasted 3 years. Indeed disappointing
