Sir on 1/09/2011 I bought a Le4xmark S400 serie printer - a 4 in one-from Hi-Fi Corporation, Pretoria. I returned it the next day as its printer head did not work and it was replaced. Purchase price was R699, 99. Warranty period 3 years. Zserial no: 000 CL 1091 -06.
About 20/03/2012 it broke down again and it was again replaced. Towards the end of September 2012 the printer head stopped functioning and Lexmark replaced the printer head. The printer operated for 3-4 weeks then stopped communicating with the PC. Beginning of January 2013 I returned the printer to Hi-Fi Corp. Few days later they requested I return the box, manuals and leads which I did. On the 10/01 I bought from HI-Fi a small Canon printer to have some printer On the 12/01/2013 I returned to HI-Fi and ask for printer. They did not have any in stock and was in formed I could "upgrade" but for R599, 99 - breach of warranty I was given a Canon MG 2140. No cash slip was ginev to me. The printer is very slow, its scanning capabilities a night mare and no document feeder to make copying easy - hand feed one by one Upgrade surely means same or better.
