SHOCKING SERVICE DELIVERY!

On the 22nd of February 2013, Pierre of VdubTech, sold me the idea that his company would be able to do a full mechanical check and repair on my 1984 toyota carolla for around R 3, 500. I dropped my car off on 25 Feb which I would collect two weeks later. Johan took on the project with the details to check clutch, gearbox/ drive shaft noise, clicking sound on ignition (starting problem), timing, engine oil leaks and general mechanical check up (my words to him were "i just want the car to be reliable"). Receiving a call from Johan I was given the price of R 4500, we negotiated down to R 4000. On 7/8 March, a few days before collecting the car, the cost was suddenly now R 6000. The total cost had nearly doubled to that of the original amount quoted. I was left no choice but accept as I need the car asap. My hilux clutch replacement at a dealership cost meR 2500. on collection and bringing up the whole debacle i was told that i am "being silly". Johan said he would phone me back - im still waiting. Subsequently the car is running worse than before - the car still doesn't start, the car jerks, the noise is still in the drive shaft, the engine leaks oil and I'm R 6000 down!
