Refusal to cancel car deal

Cars & Transport

I bought a second hand car (VW Polo 2009 with mileage of 54 000km) from Suzuki Dealership (T/A iPOP) in Rosettenville, Johannesburg. I took possession of the car on 05.04.2013. On driving the car for 2 days, I heard a noise whilst changing gears. I immediately took the car back to Suzuki on 08.04.13 and notified the salesman, Muaz, of the issue who then requested that their own mechanic drive the car to verify if there is a noise, which the mechanic on doing so confirmed there was a noise which could of been the gear bearings or clutch kit. Suzuki (with their service personnel, Carlos) then decided they will keep the car and assess what is the problem and repair it. On 11.04.13 Carlos (Suzuki) called me to notify that they replaced the clutch kit but car was still making a noise, he then told me to take the car, drive it and bring it back after 30 days so that they can then claim from my extended warranty to replace the gear bearings. I wasn't happy with this defective car, I then requested that they take the car to a VW for a full inspection, where further mechanical issues were noted. I requested cancellation of deal but Suzuki is ignoring my request to date 06.05.13 (4 weeks)
