Renault South Africa
Pre-owned Sandero missing Service Book

Cars & Transport

I bought a pre-owned Renault Sandero from Renault Pinetown in May 2011. We went to see the car (our salesman was Mr Sandile Dlamini) and were shown the full service history. We were then told that the car was registered and ready for collection. However, once we had arrived, we pointed out that there were issues with one of the locks, and that took them about 2 hours to resolve. We were by then rushing and did not check that the service book was in the car. When the car was sent for the first service required, we found out that there was no book. Upon contacting Renault in Pinetown, we found out that both the manager and our salesman were no longer working there, and the new manager, Mr Rob Prentis, assured me that he would issue a new book with the full service history. I have sent numerous emails reminding him to please stick to his promises and phoned, but a year later I still do not have the book. At this point, I am thinking that Renault cheated me, that I was shown a different car or service book, and I am disgusted by the behaviour of the manager that does not even return my calls and messages. The effort of buying a car from a reputable dealership was not worhwhile!
