05/11/13 I booked 2 cars for 1 week each with First car rental for our trip to Cape town and I was supplied with one booking number. Two weeks later I changed the booking so that my Husband and I would have the one car for 2 weeks and the second car for my son and his small family for 1 week. The next day I even called their service centre to make sure we don't have any issues, the service centre confirmed the booking and changes.
We arrived at their Cape Town Airport office with all our bags and 2 crying babies only for the manager: Yolandi, to bluntly tell us there is only one booking number and they only have one car for us. Not considering the possibility that it was their system fault, she rudely and consistently implied that it was our mistake and its our problem. Why would our deposit on their system show a payment for a car for two weeks but she only had a car for one week on her system? She wasn't sure why. We asked her to listen to the call that was made by me to the service centre as all calls are apparently recorded for "quality" purposes. She said she will come back to us... Nothing sorted.
Long story short:
Stay away! They don't care.
