I used a website called CarTrawler to book a Toyota Hilux doublecab with a tow hitch. (Reservation #ZA317646530, Confirm #949632483, Voucher #317646530). I was to collect the car at Europcar, downtown Cape Town branch. I was happy.

After arriving at Europcar there there was no record of my booking and no car available!! Your agent explained that it takes 2-3 days to get bookings from 3rd parties into the system!!! How can you allow these bookings to be made if you have no ability to deliver?!!

Your agent (Felicia) phoned the airport, which said they had a suitable car. So I took a taxi to the airport. About to leave, I noticed I only had 200km free per day and I was about to drive 1500km. I asked if they could adjust it to unlimited mileage and was told that this was impossible as it was a 3rd party booking. The 1100 extra km would be R4900! I made a new booking with unlimited miles, then I noticed an airport surcharge of 11% being added to my invoice. I argued with the manager (Andile) that my booking was messed up in town. He didn't budge. In fact he was very dismissive and rude.

I needed a car and left. The car was filthy, had 80, 000km on it and wasn't a Hilux or equivalent.
