False promise

Took my car toyota corolla 1.6 in for them to change timing chain according to the mechanic that is all that was wrong with my car. paid the R5800 to fix when i got my car back it was over heating called the sales person Mike and he told me they will fix the problem with no charge. when i took my car back they said the engine is blown and i must buy a new engine. they first said its only the timing chain then when i pay them they come with more stories and i must now buy a new engine why can they not tell me the first time what was wrong
