Not honouring 3 month warrentee

I bought an engine through a mechanic from Engine Den, and after 2 and a half months, of hardly driving the car, the engine without any warning shot a gasket.

Now they tell me they won't honour the warranty because it overheated, but there certainly was enough oil and water in the engine, given the amount of fluids that leaked afterwards.
