Dealer break car and refuse to fix it

We took our car for a timing belt change (Captiva LTZ 2liter TD) and we got it back all damaged. There was something wrong with the engine and they did not want to fix it. They sent us home with the car with some of the parts of the engine still in their workshop! When they looked at the car again, we zero'd the km meter and they travelled 97km with the vehicle. Then the engine had a knock in it! They refused to fix it. We only wanted the timing belt changed and when Ellisras Delta looked at it, Bethlehem installed the timing belt with one tooth out!!! And now the engine got hurt, and Bethlehem refuses to fix what they did wrong. For more than a year and a half I don't have my vehicle. And I am very dissatisfied with the fact that I must pay for a car that is broken!! We spoke to Chevrolet South Africa and they can't force Delta to fix our car. And the question that I have is: Why are they not guaranteeing their workmanship?? They broke our car and now I have to pay for them to fix it. That is not fair! And no-one wants to help us. We want our car fixed, because there was nothing wrong with the car. They only had to change a timing belt due to kilometre reading.
