Mr Engine
MR ENGINES SUPPLIES A SEIZED ENGINE FOR 22K

Cars & Transport

I bought an engine from Mr ENGINES on 21-01-2013. Muhamed told me that the motor vehicle which the engine came out of had done 58000 km. I paid R22500 in advance and good faith. Upon arrival at the workshop for fitment, the highly experienced mechanics advised me that the engine seemed no good for various reasons. Myself and the mechanic discussed this with Muhamed upon which he advised us to fit the engine and make sure about the engine's condition thereafter. In the meantime all the belts and belt tensioners had to be replaced. This is indicative of a vehicle which has completed well over 100 000km. The engine has now been installed. The engine will not start as there is absolutely NO compression. The engine has been supplied seized. The installation, timing etc. has been checked and is as it should be. Mohamed said he will take it up with his supplier. His website says THEY are the supplier and test all motors prior to sale. That's why I thought they were OK. I placed this all on record via email to Mr Engines after which a very irate Muhamed told me to take this up up with his supplier since he only made R1000 on the deal. I lost 22k. I used my leave pay & Xmas bonus.
