Not lifting the hold on my account

When renting a car, AVIS places a hold on your account for a specified amount. When returning the car, they are supposed to lift that hold. It appears that you can not expect them to do so. I have holds on amounts dating back as far as September 2013.

I am fighting with both my bank and AVIS to get my money back. Your reputation is largely based on whether customers can trust you with their money. At this stage, you have no fared well in earning that trust.

1. Insofar the hold for my September transaction is concerned, I have taken this up with my banks credit disputes division.
2. Insofar my December transaction is concerned: Please lift the hold on my account as you were supposed to do when I returned the car on 13 December, and as I requested via phone call on 31 December.
