Avis' bad service goes from bad to worse. Furious

On 24 December 2013 we rented a car from Avis in Zembesi Road in Pretoria. On our arrival, we learnt that the amount quoted by Pontcho on the phone the previous day was not the correct amount and had to pay R2322.48. When I returned the car on the 27th, Pontcho assured me that the amount of R525.82 will be paid back into my account within a week, since the amount due was only R1796.66. Instead, on 1 January 2013 an amount of R1796.66 was deducted from my account. When I phoned to find out why, the staff member I spoke to was rude to me and told me that it was the amount that was due for the rental. Excuse me?? They are suppose to pay ME back not the other way around. I went to my bank today to get help and apparently the amount of R2322.48 is STILL on hold on my account and they refuse to pay it back immediately. I have to wait another 48 hours before they can release the money. They were never suppose to take this money out in the first place! This makes NO sense, and in my opinion, this is cheating! So thank you Avis. For the worst service I have ever received. Anywhere. and I want my money back NOW! Not in 48 hours!!
