I made a booking in October and funds were reserved in my cheque account. After returning the car within a week Avis took the amount due however they never released the remaining funds in my account amounting to approximately R10 000. I called, visited their branch and even sent mails and no one is willing to help me. This I find very disturbing since as I write this complaint I did not pay my house cause I m unemployed and this money was suppose to pay the house. Surprisingly I had the same issue with Budget but it was resolved within an hour of phoning them. Avis doesn't care about its customers as long as they have their money and account is closed. If they can reserve funds in my account within a minute why does it take more than two months to release funds back to me?
