Mazda
Mazda Constantia Roodepoort, stay away

Cars & Transport

I had my Mazda Drifter serviced on 25 September 2013 before leaving for KZN. I was informed that the propshaft need to be replaced and I agreed to this. The vehicle spend an extra day with Mazda Constantia. I collected my vehicle on Friday morning and left for KZN. The right rear back wheel came off whilst driving just before Escourt. I had to arrange for the vehicle to be towed and repaired and also for someone to come and fetch me. After my Insurance company paid for the repairs I asked Mazda to investigate why this happened and also claimed for the costs to get me back in Roodepoort, an amount of about R7 200. After various discussions and follow-up from my side, the Work Shop manager, Estelle, informed me that the claim will not be considered. I saw the Franchise Dealer Principal and he said it was impossible that the wheel stayed on for that long if the nuts were not properly tightened. The fact is that Mazda worked on the vehicle and are no claiming that this is not possible. No facts, no proper explanation. I have serviced this vehicle for more than 8 years at this dealership and I am not going back!
