Nissan South Africa
Parts on back order for month and a half

Cars & Transport

Our Nissan Micra was in an accident on 31 August 2013. The panel beaters ordered parts from Nissan Worcester on 10 September. Last week more than a month later, they claimed that the last part is still on its way from overseas. Their factory burnt down in Thailand and the strike put them back as well. However after phoning customer care as well as Worcester Nissan, they could not give an ETA of the last part. This part was due 10th October according to them, when I asked why the freight company cannot be contacted to get latest ETA, the customer care lady said the people dealing with the freight company has left the office already. They will phone me today, well that is what both Worcester Nissan and Nissan South Africa customer care said on Thursday, however it seems that they meant they will phone if they have any new information, so that means I must wait.
It seems this is a general problem with Nissan parts, so be warned if you are driving a Nissan hopefully a taxi does not drive into the back of your Nissan, because you could be stuck without a car for months!
