Nissan Worcester
Problem vehicle

Cars & Transport

I bought a Hyundai Tucson from Nissan Worcester. I took delivery on 13 May 2013. On that same day, I mentioned to Dave that there was a sound on the brakes but he said that it could just be dry.
2 - 3 weeks later, it got worse but he wanted me to come all the way from Cape Town to Worcester to attend to this. After contacting Nissan SA, they agreed to come down & get it sorted out in Parow.
Then on 12 July, the car started to give another problem - a starting problem. I called Nissan and was informed that I should get diagnostics done then get back to them. I went to an Auto Electrician who confirmed that it is the battery that needs to be replaced! After just 2 months!!!
I replaced the battery over the weekend of 27 July and now when I call them to get a reimbursement, I am told by the manager of the dealership that they cannot refund me cos it is not a mechanical problem. I have a warranty for mechanical problem. This is a fault on your part and should sorted. I wish I can just give this vehicle back to them... will still hear what my rights are with CPA though...
