Nissan Juke Malfunctioning compute

Cars & Transport

I purchased a Nissan Juke from Nissan Bruma in June 2013. While driving the car in July, the engine warning light came on on the dashboard. I took the car in to Nissan Woodmead where they performed diagnostics on 3 separate days in consultation with Nissan SA and were able to advise that this was due to a malfunctioning computer in the car. Nissan Woodmead advised that a new computer would need to be ordered and fitted in the car. This order was done on 06 August and Nissan Woodmead advised it would take 3 weeks for delivery. To date, the new part has not been delivered. I have been following up with Nissan Woodmead who have been helpful in providing feedback, however they have been unable to confirm when this would be resolved due to a lack of information from Nissan SA. In the interim, I am experiencing intermittent difficulties with starting the car, as well as excessively high fuel consumption due to the computer malfunction. When I get out of the car, you can smell the petrol fumes being emitted from the vehicle.
