CAR DAMAGED DUE TO BONNET NOT BEING CLOSED PROPERL

Cars & Transport

On Friday afternoon on the 26th July 2013, at about 13.50pm, i stopped at the BP Service Station near Blue Route Mall on Tokai Road. I had petrol put in, tyre pressure checked, and oil and water checked. I then left to go back to my office in Westlake. I was driving along the M3 when my bonnet flew up onto my windscreen. It did not go down, and i had to try and pull off the highway without being able to see in order to put it down again. My car is very badly damaged as a result. I got back to my office and had two of my colleagues come back to the garage with me to see the owner. He was very rude, and blamed it on my car being old, and that the safety catch was broken. He told us the footage shows that the petrol attendant had in fact closed it. We asked to see the footage and he said we could. He then walked off and said he was not responsible. The manager, who was very helpful, took us to show us the footage, where we could clearly see that my bonnet is not secure when i drive away. Apparently, i can only see the owner on Wednesday.
