Car wash attendant washed my BMWS engine!

Cars & Transport

I took my car in for a car wash at BP Broadacres on Wednesday afternoon the 18th of Dec. I drove in and the car wash attendant proceeded to ask me to lift my bonnet. I not knowing a thing about cars, presumed he knew what he was doing. He came to the window and I asked him if he was sure about washing the engine and he said that this how they was cars I just needed to keep the engine running.
The next day my car wouldn't start. I called my mechanic he advised that I leave it to dry with the bonnet open and that the engine should never be cleaned in a car wash!

The following day my car started and cut out on witkoppen on my way to the mechanic. I was stuck on witkoppen in the middle of the day with my baby where I had to wait to be towed to my mechanic. He then opened up the bonnet to find my electronics flooded and damaged, from water that could only be caused by blasting a highpressure hose into the engine.

My BMW has never broken down on me before and I use it daily to get to work and back, it is also our family vehicle.

My car is still not starting, the shop is now closed, I do not have a car. Not to mention that we know cannot t leave on our family Christmas holiday.
