Shell South Africa
Attempted Assault by Shell Employee on Custome

Cars & Transport

I attended at Shell Middel Street, Brooklyn, Pretoria, to fill up my vehicle. After filling up, I requested the attendant wash the windscreen. He refused. I asked to speak to the manager, at which point another employee arrived. The second employee processed the payment, but would also not wash the windscreen. A lady in the vehilce parked behind me asked what was the problem and why the attendants would not serve customers, at which point I approached the attendant in order to obtain his details and take a photo of his name badge so that I could report him. The attendant shouted and swore at me and repeatedly attempted to hit me, the more I stepped back the more he came towards me. I contacted Shell Head Office the following morning to report the incident and requested the CCTV footage. I made it clear that neither I not any one on my behalf would attend at the garage but collect the footage from Head Office as we would not be victimised any further by the garage employees. I received an sms advsing that we have to attend at the garage to collect the footage. This is unacceptable. Not suprising that staff would act this way towards customers considering the attitude of the owner.
