I don't even have the name of the gentleman that assisted me when I called today, but I still want to say thank you. On 10 Jan I filled my car, card swiped twice - the first amount was never billed/paid out, but it was stuck in 'authorisation outstanding'.
I tried to obtain assistance from the bank, since they're my bank and always promise that they can help - but I was told to contact the merchant.
10 minutes of conversation, I explained what happened, my details were taken down and I received a phone call to inform me that the situation is resolved, the money will be cleared within 24 hours. That is how service should be - as the customer, I was first, my problem became theirs, it was solved and I received the feedback, as promised, to ensure that I wasn't left in the lurch.
