Rear doors on VW Polo not unlocking

The rear doors of my daughters Polo Did not want to unlock.we took the vehicle to Bay motors in R/bay.
They informed us that they have to break the doors open and fit new locks. We contacted VWSA and to date we had no feedback from them.
Now three weeks later and with an account of R9203.06 they have managed to break the doors open and replaced the door handles and door locks..What happens if the front doors lock.? Will it also cost R10000 and take three weeks to open.
