I took my 2011 Polo 1.6 Comfortline in for it's scheduled 45000km service on Wednesday 16 January 2013. On Monday 21 January 2013, 170km after the service I had a warning light flash at me as I was leaving work. There was an oil leak and the engine had lost oil pressure. I phoned VW 24 hour assist and subsequently waited 2 hours for a tow truck to arrive. This is a massive inconvenience. I am very disappointed in the fact that I took a perfectly good car in for a scheduled service and it came out with more problems than before. It is clearly a workshop fault/slip up that caused this. It makes me hesitant to take my car in for these services but I know that it is a must do. What kind of quality control is there in terms of these services? How does it happen that things like this are allowed to happen?
