Missed flight: Extra expenses incurred

I made a booking on Saturday, 04 January 2014. Pick up was scheduled for Monday morning, 04H45. This can be confrimed with Candice. On Sunday, 05 Januuary 2014, I called Unicab just to confirm booking. They assured me that everything was in order. However, on Monday morning when cab was scheduled to arrive, Tanya called me to say that cab is running late but assured me that he would still be on time. After numerous calls up and down to Unicab, I informed them that the driver did not pitch and I was at bthe point of realising that I'm going to miss my flight. I was once again assured that this will not happen. The driver eventually pitched at 05H30 while my scheduled flight was 05H55. The driver (Pappie) informed me that he got lost as he was not familiar with the area and further requested that I (the client) give him directions to the airport. We arrived at the airport at 05H42 and I was informed that the boarding gates had been closed. The next flight to Kimberley was 10 hours later and I was requested to pay in an amount of R1859.00 to secure seats for me and my husband on that flight. I have spoken to Nafeesa and Tanya from Unicab who could not assist in this regard. Reimbursem
