At the end of May 2013 I used the services of Intertrans to transport my belongings from Durban to Johannesburg. While loading my furniture I advised the staff to carefully store my large mirror in between boxes to avoid breakage and I ensured it was bubble wrapped. Also, I had clearly marked boxes stating which boxes were fragile. Upon delivery of my belongings, I found the boxes that had been marked "fragile" were damaged; my large chest of drawers, not just damaged, but broken into multiple pieces, no piece attached; my large mirror, shattered; bar stool, broken. Upon trying to get this matter resolved, I was told to contact my insurance company as it was not their responsibility. Later, when I advised that I would take this further, they offered to pay me R150 for my damaged goods. Once I said I would make a complaint on Hello Peter, they advised that they would replace just my mirror as they refuse to take responsibility for the other damaged items and, to-date, nothing has been done except excuse after excuse. I would NEVER recommend anyone to use their services, their after service is pathetic. They don't want to deal with you after they've gotten your money!
