Sorry, we quoted incorrectly

As part of an arrangement by my company, 3 quotes were required in order to arrange removals of my belongings to my current location. Pickfords was the most affordable quote and procurement was arranged. The day before the move was arranged one of Pickfords consultants called and said the move would not go forward unless they received another R11 000 on top of the R13 000 quote. Pickfords reason for this was that they had quoted incorrectly and did not realise just how far the move was...
What an absolute load of ballony! I believe this is and they should have manned up and followed through on their quote. They should also consult a map when they are quoting!!!
What a waste of time and an absolute inconvenience as we had to start the whole process again. Obviously Pickfords was no longer the cheapest quote. Stuttafords ended up doing the move and they were great!! Please beware of the business ethics of Pickfords!!!
