Avis Ebucks = Pathetic!!! Passing the buck!

We booked a rental with Avis, using Ebucks to pay for the car. When we arrived a lady (did not get her name) assisted us with our booking. My husband was informed that they did not receive a "voucher" from Ebucks to show that the rental was paid for and that we will be liable for the rental amount. After a long and painful discussion we agreed that she can put the amount on hold on the credit card - the rental was -R1300 and because I had to drive the rental an additional R250 odd was charged, which adds up to -R1550 - which was agreed on. When the lady swiped the card, an amount of almost R3000 was put on hold on the card. When we asked her why so much, she only THEN mentioned that there was a petrol fee etc that also needed to be charged for!? The lady was not helpful at all, lost her patience a few times with us and the manager could not be found when we requested to see him. After an hour, the manager came to the desk and said that they will try to resolve the issue with Ebucks-surprise surprise, this was never done and has become our issue to resolve. When we returned the rental we filled the car in Umhlanga, an amount of over R300 was deducted again - for what you may ask - FUEL!!!
