Over charging and no refund

In Feruary 2013 my wife rented a vehicle from Avis. First I did a booking on-line using my credit card. When I took her to King Shaka Airport we went to the Avis office to confirm the booking. Because she was to use the vehicle in Johannesburg, but payment charged to my credit card we had to the booking again to collect the vehicle in Johannesburg. Later we discovered that the were three (3) payments deducted from my account. I tried to phone the helpdesk, but could never get hold of a consultant. I then contacted Avis via e-mail. It took them 4 to 6 days to reply to each e-mail. Till date Avis denies that three deductions went off even though my account reflect three. Later they admitted that they accidentally charged a second person`s rental to my account. Till date I have not been credited with the second or third charge. I found it shocking that they charged someone else rental to my account and that they deny charging we double for the rental and then do not refund me for their mistake. Their mistake cost me more than R1700.
