My husband booked a rental with Avis with his Ebucks, through the Ebucks Website two weeks ago for Comrades. When we arrived at Avis to collect the rental, we were informed that we need to pay for the car as they have not received a "voucher" from Ebucks to show that the rental was paid for with the Ebucks??? After a LONG and frustrating discussion with the lady at Avis, a hold was put on the credit card for the rental until the issue was resolved with Ebucks. Once again, it was our responsibility to resolve the issue as Ebucks and Avis just did not give a. My husband spoke to a lady at Ebucks and a query was logged with their financial dept and she was to get back to him. Yesterday (going on 3 weeks already) my husband checked his credit card statement and found that Avis deducted the money from his credit card??? So in actual fact we paid TWICE for a rental and no solutions from Ebucks as yet! PATHETIC!! The rental was booked way in advance with Ebucks, they had MORE than enough time to resolve this with Avis!
