Bad experience at SAC

Cars & Transport

I had a major issue with them regarding an engine overhual. I took my car to them with a noisy engine purchased from Japan Auto in Bloem. They told me there were major problems with the enging and they would replace the moror with an original 1.3 (I had a 1.5 3E engine from Jap Auto).
I do admit that this was over December-January. After a couple weeks I was informed that they were waiting for parts for the 2E 1.3 engine. A week later I was informed that they were going to re-condition my 1.5 3E instead. Overall it took just over a month to install the re-conditioned engine. They also did my front brake discs and pads.
I got the car back and found that after about 200 KM it developed a rough sound and was noisy starting up and there was a rattle that had started somewhere.
I took it back and they re-tuned it and said not to worry - I must still bring it in at 1000 km for re-jetting the carb. I took the car back and the noise was mostly gone. I did notice however that the brake lights didnt work anymore. It went bak and I was told that the brake switch was faulty. R400 later I was off again with the faulty brake switch and 2 blown bulbs in hand. Strange that the brake switch still
