Pitstop
HOW PITSTOP ALMOST KILLED ME

Miscellaneous

Pitstop worked on my car in December 2013. They changed my front tyres, fitted brake discs, brake pads, brake fluid pipe, shocks, radiator and did a minor service on my car.

On the first weekend in January 2014, on Sunday 5 Jan, my car overheated. I opened my bonnet to find that the plastic container that holds the water was been resting on my engine, causing water to leak. Turns out it was missing a tie to hold it in place!

This eroded the trust I have in Pitstop as my engine could have blown. I could have been injured and my car would have been damaged.

After driving my car over the past two weeks I started hearing a weird noise. I thought it was just my brake pads wearing in. Turns out my front brake pads hadn't been fitted properly, my new parts had so much wear and tear and that the brake pad wasn't even attached to the disc. I have pictures to prove this.

Pitstop refuses to send a mechanic off site to assess my car. This is total negligence on their side!

My life was put in danger and I feel that I should be reimbursed from Pitstop for the service they failed to deliver, which could have actually killed me. I spent more than R12k there!
