Benba Motors
Are vehicle agents ripping us off?

Cars & Transport

My wife drives a Proton Sport and had problems with her brake lights not working. The mechanic at Benba Motors indicated to her that it was not the bulbs but the brake switch. She ordered the switch and was told that the switch costs R200 and the labour R400. She decided to buy the switch and brought the switch home so that we could try and fit it ourselves. We were really amazed that all it took was to join the 2 lugs and place it under the brake pedal arm and click it into position. It literally took 60 seconds to fit. Proton Goodwood wanted to charge my wife a whopping R400 for it. Is this a rip off or what?
