Volkswagen
VW Polo 1.4 Comfortline Sedan with endless problem

Cars & Transport

We bought a 2011 VW Polo Sedan 1.4 Comfortline, problems started with an EPC light, then a knocking noise and a starting problem. Knocking noise and starting problem could not be solved. Replaced car with a 2012 model. Same knocking noise, fuel tank fault. After numerous meetings and repairs on the vehicle with VWSA and Lindsay Saker Midrand they heard the knocking noise yesterday. And there answer that it is a characteristic of the car it is not repairable, we need to accept the noise and the fuel gauge is not reliable as it is not accurate, you need to fill your car on a quarter tank according to the manual. So why do we buy a new car. Nothing was disclosed that the car had a knocking noise characteristic and that it is critical not rely on the fuel gauge and fill your car on a quarter tank. We did not buy a car to have a knocking noise which is not bad according to them but we need to accept it. I am not willing to accept it. Does not look like we can get anywhere with VW Lindsay Saker Midrand and VW SA.All we are asking is a car without defects. Why do they keep on thinking out diferent excuses on all faults. We have an option to choose another car but there will be financial implications.
