I went to buy some food just after 8pm at the Observatory branch, opposite St Peters Sq. However, it turns out that I had to wait 20 min to order and get my food in the drive-through. During this whole time, there was no apology for the long wait. After enquiring about the long wait, was told that they were short staffed and the window was closed. At the collection window, I had to wait until someone came to the window and gave me the food and walked away before I could say "thanks".
It is my understanding that service is supposed to be very quick and efficient at a drive-thru. The petrol that I wasted whilst waiting in the line was clearly more than the money I paid for the meal. And in 20min, I could have driven all the way home to Bellville and got my food faster and with better attitude from another branch.
Please provide your staff with the right training and make sure that there is proper planning so that there wont be a "short-staffed" excuse. As a business in the fast food industry, you should have sufficient people as backups and should have placed a sign to notify customers of the issues you were experiencing.
