Atrocious customer service and bad quality of food

We went to Ocean Basket in George and ordered the platter for two, as well as calamari and chips for my daughter. The first time we got our food it was cold, and after desperately trying to get a waiter's attention, I got up and approached the managers who were standing at the tills, to inform them of our cold food. One of them came with me and took it back to the kitchen. We must have received our same food heated up, as the food we got back only had 3 mussels in this time, less chips, and burnt prawns (burnt being an understatement). We didn't finish the food, and eventually called the waitress. she herself acknowledged that the quality of the food was bad, and tried to get the manager's attention. Both managers avoided us, and after a while one of them came. It was only after a lengthy conversation that the other one in charge came to our table, and he didn't really see anything wrong with our food. When my husband asked If he expected u to pay for such inferior quality, he said he would give us our daughter's meal for free. Did I miss something??? We get bad food and we have to pay for it? I left my business card - after paying, and has yet to get an apology from anybody!
