A La Turka Restaurant
Rip off of note!!!

I booked a table of 21 for my party at A La Turka. The set menu I was forced into choosing, was R190-00 per person including 3 courses. The table was not set when we arrived. After 30 minutes I went to look for the table outside. There was no cutlery, plates, glasses and no lighting. Eventually they brought out a candlestick with 4 candles. We ate in darkness! We waited around for our drinks for over 30 minutes. When we got edgy, the waitress told us that if we wanted to speak to the manager we could go to him.

Then the food arrived. WHAT A JOKE. The food was not what was described on the menu and they brought out such tiny portions that my husband and I refrained from eating so that our guests could have a fair share! The desert 'platter' was the worst! 4 small slices of watermelon with 4 tiny cubes of halva and turkish delight to share between 4 adults! They charged us R30 per head for the bellydancers that danced around our table for 5 minutes. They charged me R190 pp for 3 guests that did not arrive. I demanded my money back, the owner said they had catered for those extra people! What a laugh!!! SAVE YOUR MONEY. They have a snotty attitude, bad food and will rip you off.
